Going on a bear hunt map
In Math's we are learning about directions. We listened to the story were going on a bear hunt. We picked out the obstacles in the story. We then drew a map of the story. We had to carefully think about The directions, and where the obstacles would be. Then we had to write directions from the house to the cave we had to use North, East, South and West

Straw Rafts
In Inquiry we are learning about The Design Process. The Design Process is where you Plan, Design and test a product or theory. Sometimes when you test it, it doesn´t work and you have to start at there beginning again to see how you should make it better. Mrs Mcg gave us a challenge. We had to plan, Design + Build a straw raft to float with 40g of weight on it. We could only use 20 straws and some masking tape. Our raft failed 5 times because the straws weren´t close enough. We did some research about how rafts float and found about Dense, Buoyant, and that the straws need to be close otherwise the water will come through onto the raft. We found the design to hold the boat up with the weights on challenging because we could n´t manage to do them until some time. and we found it easy to put it in the water. Here are our pictures:

yesterday/Today we did our book cover for our show don't tell books. This was fun we went on Pobble 365 (Link http://www.pobble365.com/) to find our cover for our books. Then we made our own. Now we have to blog post it. the easy thing about this was to get the ideas on the page, and hard to find the cover here is my cover!
